Palau Bush Warbler

Hypsipetes longirostris

The Palau Bush Warbler (Hypsipetes longirostris) is a small passerine bird native to the Palau islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It is known for its distinctive song, which is often heard in the dense undergrowth of the island's forests. The Palau Bush Warbler has a brownish-olive plumage with a pale underbelly and a long, slender bill. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the forest understory, using its sharp bill to probe for food. This species is generally secretive and difficult to observe due to its shy nature and preference for dense vegetation.
