Palau Scops Owl, Otus podarginus, is an owl of the Palau Islands in the western Pacific, within the family Strigidae. It occurs in woodland and lagoon trees, as well as ravines and mangrove swamps. Its plumage is dark reddish-brown and marked with small white spots across the feathers. It nests in tree hollows, and it lives in groups while also defending territory. The species was first described by Hartlaub and Finsch in 1872. Its breeding range is Palau in western Micronesia.
