Palawan Leafbird

Chloropsis palawanensis

The Palawan Leafbird (Chloropsis palawanensis) is a small to medium-sized bird native to the Palawan archipelago in the Philippines. It is known for its vibrant green plumage, which helps it blend in with the dense foliage of its forest habitat. The Palawan Leafbird is an active and agile species, often seen foraging for insects and small fruits in the canopy. Its melodious calls can be heard echoing through the forest, especially during the breeding season. Despite its localized range, the Palawan Leafbird is relatively common within its habitat and plays an important role in seed dispersal and insect control.
