Palawan Peacock-Pheasant, Polyplectron napoleonis, is a pheasant from Palawan in the south-western Philippines, where it is confined to the island’s breeding range. It belongs to the family Phasianidae and was described by Lesson in 1831. The male is notable for its black body, blue wing markings, a grey, finely speckled back and tail, blue eye-like spots, white facial markings and a red eye-ring. The female is mostly brown with a white face. It is known locally by several names and has an important place in Palawan culture.
