Pale-chinned Flycatcher, Cyornis poliogenys, is a bird of the Oriental Region, breeding from the Himalayas to southern Myanmar and eastern India. It belongs to the Muscicapidae family of chats and Old World flycatchers. The species was described by W. E. Brooks in 1880. It is also known by the older name Brook’s flycatcher. Its nesting period falls between April and June. It is insectivorous. Both sexes are alike, and the male does not show the strong blue tones seen in many other mainland Asian Cyornis flycatchers.
