Pale-eyed Pygmy Tyrant, Atalotriccus pilaris, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in Middle America and northern South America, including Panama and northern South America. It is a resident bird with a scattered range. The species is the sole member of Atalotriccus. Its breeding range covers the Pacific side of Panama, northern Colombia, northern Venezuela, and a separate pocket in western Guyana with adjoining northern Brazil. It uses dry scrub, open woodland, savanna, deciduous and semi-deciduous forest, secondary growth, gallery forest, mangroves, and disturbed places.
