Pale-legged Leaf Warbler

Phylloscopus tenellipes

The Pale-legged Leaf Warbler is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests and woodlands of East Asia. It is known for its distinctive song and can be identified by its olive-green upperparts, pale underparts, and a prominent white supercilium. This species undertakes long migrations, breeding in the northern parts of its range and wintering in Southeast Asia. It forages actively in the canopy, gleaning insects from leaves and branches. The Pale-legged Leaf Warbler is known for its rapid and agile movements as it searches for prey. Despite being relatively common, its breeding and wintering grounds are threatened by habitat loss and degradation.
