Cyornis pallidipes
The Palid Blue Flycatcher is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive pale blue plumage with a white belly and a dark blue patch on its wings. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. It forages for insects by making short sallies from perches in the understory and mid-canopy. The Palid Blue Flycatcher is a migratory bird, spending the winter in the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra. Despite being relatively common in its range, habitat loss and degradation pose threats to its populations.
