Turdus subalaris

It is known for its distinctive melodious song, which it uses to communicate and defend its territory. The Palm Thrush has a brownish-gray plumage with a pale belly and a distinct white eye-ring. It forages for insects, fruits, and seeds on the forest floor, using its sharp bill to probe the leaf litter. This species is generally solitary or found in pairs, and it builds cup-shaped nests in the understory of trees. The Palm Thrush is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
