Paltry Tyrannulet

Zimmerius vilissimus

The Paltry Tyrannulet is a small, insectivorous bird found in the tropical forests of South America. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, yellowish underparts, and a distinct white eye-ring. This species is known for its active foraging behavior, often seen gleaning insects from foliage and branches. It prefers the understory and mid-levels of humid forests, where it can be found in mixed-species flocks. The Paltry Tyrannulet is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
