Papuan Pitta, Erythropitta macklotii, is a pitta found in the Kai Islands of the south-eastern Moluccas, New Guinea and the Cape York Peninsula in Australia. It belongs to the family Pittidae and the order Passeriformes. It was described by Temminck in 1834. It was once treated as part of the red-bellied pitta. Its breeding range is in Australasia.
