Aethomyias papuensis (De Vis, 1894)
Papuan Scrubwren Aethomyias papuensis is a bird of montane western, central, north-eastern and south-eastern New Guinea, where it occurs in the highlands. It belongs to the Australasian warbler family, Acanthizidae. Its habitat is moist montane forest in subtropical or tropical conditions. The species was first described by De Vis in 1894. It was once included in Sericornis, but a 2018 study of scrubwrens led to its transfer to Aethomyias, the genus now used for it.
