Para Foliage-gleaner

Automolus paraensis

The Para Foliage-gleaner (Automolus paraensis) is a small, inconspicuous bird found in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. It is characterized by its olive-brown upperparts, buffy underparts, and a distinctive white eye-ring. This species forages for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth, often remaining hidden from view. The Para Foliage-gleaner is typically observed in the lower levels of the forest, where it navigates through tangled vegetation with agility. Its population status and specific ecological requirements are not well-documented, making it a species of conservation concern.
