Tunchiornis rubrifrons (Sclater, PL & Salvin, 1867)

Para Greenlet, Tunchiornis rubrifrons, is a passerine in the Vireonidae family and lives in Amazonian Brazil south of the Amazon. It is found only in Brazil, mainly in the undergrowth of undisturbed terra firme forest, and it often uses gaps made by fallen trees. The species was first described in 1867. It has two subspecies, with the western form ranging from the Rio Madeira to the Rio Tapajós and south to west-central Mato Grosso, while the nominate form occurs farther east. The sexes look alike, and the nominate has a pale russet-brown to tawny forehead.
