Eupsittula aurea
The Peach-fronted Parakeet is a small to medium-sized parrot native to South America. It has a predominantly green plumage with a peach-colored forehead and a hint of blue on the wings. These social birds are often found in flocks, and their playful and curious nature makes them popular pets. In the wild, they forage for fruits, seeds, and nuts in open woodlands, savannas, and forest edges. They are known for their acrobatic flight and cheerful calls. While their populations are currently stable, they face threats from habitat loss and capture for the pet trade.
