Pearled Treerunner, Margarornis squamiger, is a bird of the Andes in South America, breeding from western Venezuela south to Bolivia. It belongs to the ovenbird family, Furnariidae. It is a resident species and is mainly associated with montane evergreen forest and elfin forest, with local use of Polylepis woodland and secondary growth. It is especially linked to places with moss and epiphytes. The species is recognised by its pearled patterning, and the sexes look alike. Its range includes the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, with the nominate form extending into Bolivia.
