Percival's Oriole

Oriolus percivali

Percival's Oriole (Oriolus percivali) is a striking bird species found in the forests of the Philippines. It is known for its vibrant yellow plumage, black wings, and a distinctive black mask around its eyes. This medium-sized oriole is known for its melodious and flute-like song, often heard echoing through the forest canopy. Percival's Oriole is primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small fruits in the upper levels of the forest. It constructs its nest in the canopy and is often observed in pairs or small groups.
