Pernambuco Pygmy Owl, Glaucidium mooreorum, is an owl of the family Strigidae found in eastern Brazil, where it is known from a small area of Pernambuco in the north-east. It lives in humid forest, including the canopy close to the forest edge, and has been recorded up to 150 m above sea level. It was described by Cardoso da Silva, Coelho and Gonzaga in 2003. The species is notable for its very restricted range and for its short song of five to seven rising notes.
