Peruvian Tyrannulet

Peruvian Tyrannulet, Zimmerius viridiflavus, is a bird of the tyrant flycatcher family in south-west Ecuador and Peru. It was first described by Tschudi in 1844. Within its range it is found in the canopy and along the margins of humid montane forest, and it also turns up in secondary forest. It is a resident bird. Its distribution is patchy on the eastern side of the central Peruvian Andes, including Huánuco, Junín and Ayacucho, and it occurs between 1,000 and 2,500 m.
