Pfrimer's Parakeet, Pyrrhura pfrimeri, is a parrot of eastern Brazil, where it breeds in Goiás and Tocantins. It was described by Miranda-Ribeiro in 1920. Its range is tied to dry deciduous and semi-deciduous parts of the Caatinga forest. It is the only member of the Pyrrhura leucotis group with a much reduced pale area on the ear-coverts, a feature used to separate it from the white-eared parakeet complex. It was once treated as a subspecies, but later work recognised it as a distinct species.
