Philippine Bulbul, Hypsipetes philippinus, is a bulbul found in the northern, eastern and southern Philippines. It breeds across the Oriental Region in those parts of the archipelago and is tied to tropical moist lowland and montane forest. It also uses forest edge, clearings and coconut groves, reaching 2,000 metres above sea level. The species is set apart from related forms by paler plumage, a smaller bill and a different call. It was first described by Forster in 1795 and is placed in the family Pycnonotidae.
