Philippine Duck, Anas luzonica, is a dabbling duck in the family Anatidae. It is the only duck endemic to the Philippines, where it occurs across the major islands and several smaller ones, though most recent records have come from Luzon and Mindanao. It uses a broad range of wetlands, including mountain lakes, marshes, pools, streams, rivers, salt pans and coastal waters, with shallow freshwater marshland preferred. Its diet includes plants, rice, molluscs, crustaceans, fish, frogs and insects. It has declined because of hunting and habitat loss.
