Philippine Dwarf Kingfisher, Ceyx melanurus, is a bird of the Philippines in the kingfisher family. It occurs in Luzon, the Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Basilan, Samar, Leyte and Mindanao, and its breeding range is the Oriental Region, excluding West Visayas, the Palawan group and the Sulu Archipelago. It lives in tropical moist lowland forest. The species is split by the International Union for Conservation of Nature into two forms, with Basilan and Mindanao birds treated as the South Philippine dwarf kingfisher and the remainder as the North Philippine dwarf kingfisher.
