Philippine Honey Buzzard, Pernis steerei, is a bird of prey in the Accipitridae family that breeds in the Philippines apart from the Palawan group. It is found in forested lowlands and other moist tropical forest, including primary and secondary rainforest, and is most often recorded below 1,400 metres. The bird is marked by a dark brown crest from the rear of the head, which helps separate it from the similar barred honey-buzzard. It was first described by Sclater, WL, in 1919.
