Philippine Oriole, Oriolus steerii, is a bird of the central and southern Philippines, including the Visayas, Mindanao group and the Sulu Archipelago. It lives in tropical moist lowland forest, and also uses primary and secondary forest up to 1,200 metres above sea level. First described by Sharpe in 1877, it belongs to the Oriolidae. The species is found on Mindanao and most of the Visayan Islands, and the Cebu form was last recorded in 1906 and is now extinct.
