Pied Butcherbird, Cracticus nigrogularis, is a passerine found in Australia, except Tasmania, and was described by Gould in 1837. It is a member of the Artamidae. Adults have a black hood on the head and throat, with black also on the mantle and much of the wings and tail, while the neck, underparts and outer wing feathers are white. Young birds are mainly brown and white, with black feathers appearing as they mature. Two subspecies are recognised.
