Pied Falconet, Microhierax melanoleucos, is a falcon in the family Falconidae and breeds from north-eastern India through southern China to central Vietnam. It is a resident bird of deciduous forest edges, clearings in wooded foothills, and open country with banks and streams. It is also known as the white-legged falconet. The species nests in old woodpecker or barbet holes, using a lining of leaves or grass, and the nest chamber has sometimes been found filled with insect remains instead. It was described by Blyth in 1843.
