Pin-striped Tit-Babbler, Mixornis gularis, is a passerine of the Timaliidae family that breeds across the Oriental Region, from Nepal and eastern India to southern China, Vietnam, Sumatra and the Palawan group in the south-western Philippines. It was first described in 1822 by Horsfield. The bird is marked by a pale supercilium and a rufous crown, while the throat is yellowish with brown streaking. It also has a loud repeated chonk-chonk-chonk-chonk-chonk call. It forages in small flocks, moving through low vegetation, and breeds from February to July in a loose ball-shaped nest of grasses and leaves.
