Pine Warbler, Setophaga pinus, is a New World warbler found in eastern North America, with breeding in the east of the continent and wintering in the southern USA, the Bahamas and Hispaniola. It belongs to the family Parulidae and the order Passeriformes. The species was first described by Linnaeus in 1766. It is linked to open pine woodland, and its name reflects that preference. Adults show white underparts, two white wing bars, dark legs and a narrow, fairly long bill, with yellowish markings around the eyes.
