Pinto's Spinetail, Synallaxis infuscata, is a passerine of the Furnariidae that breeds in eastern Brazil. It was described by Pinto in 1950 and is found in the far east of the country, with records from Paraíba, Alagoas and Pernambuco. It lives in tropical lowland evergreen forest, both primary and secondary, and usually keeps to dense undergrowth. The species is a year-round resident. Its range is patchy and it is known from many scattered localities. It is also called “tatac” locally.
