Plain Inezia, Inezia inornata, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in western and south-western Amazonia. It was first described by Salvadori in 1897. In the breeding season it occurs in deciduous and semi-deciduous woodland and in the drier Gran Chaco, with a range extending from central Bolivia to northern Paraguay and north-western Argentina. Outside the breeding period many birds shift north into Bolivia, Peru and south-western Amazonian Brazil. It is a partial migrant and is generally uncommon, with a reputation for being rare in Peru.
