Plain Tyrannulet

Hemitriccus inornatus

The Plain Tyrannulet is a small, insectivorous bird found in South America. It has a plain olive-brown upper body and a pale yellowish underbody. This species is known for its distinctive call, a high-pitched trill. It inhabits dense undergrowth in humid forests, often near water. The Plain Tyrannulet forages for insects by gleaning from foliage and branches. It is a relatively common species and is not currently considered at risk.
