Plumbeous-backed Thrush, Turdus reevei, is a bird of western Ecuador and north-west Peru in the thrush family. It was first described by Lawrence in 1869. Its range runs from central Manabí and northern Los Rios south to eastern Lambayeque and western Cajamarca. It uses forest interior, forest margins, openings, woodland and scrub, and in Peru it seems to prefer river corridors. In Ecuador it is mostly below 1,600 m, while in Peru it reaches 1,500 m. The species is monotypic, and adults of both sexes are very similar in plumage.
