Predicted Antwren, Herpsilochmus praedictus, is a passerine antbird found in western Brazil, in the southern part of Amazonas state. It was described in 2013 by Cohn-Haft and Bravo. The bird is confined to Amazonian Brazil, with records south of the Amazon between the Juruá and Madeira rivers. Most sightings come from the eastern side of its range, east of the Purus. It lives in humid evergreen forest, especially campinarana on sandy ground and terra firme on clay, and also uses igapó. It is a monotypic species and is thought to remain in the same area all year.
