Principe Scops Owl, Otus bikegila, is an owl restricted to Príncipe in the Gulf of Guinea, Africa. It was formally named in 2022 by Melo, Freitas, Verbelen, da Costa, Pereira, Fuchs, Sangster, Correia, de Lima and Crottini. Its known range lies entirely inside Príncipe Obô Natural Park, within native forest with little human disturbance. It appears to favour larger trees. The species was first suspected in 1928, and it was initially recognised from its night-time call. Its recorded predators include the Mona monkey and the black rat.
