Principe Seedeater, Crithagra rufobrunnea, is a finch from the islands of Príncipe and São Tomé in the Gulf of Guinea. It belongs to the family Fringillidae and the order Passeriformes. Its breeding range is limited to those two islands off the west coast of Africa. It occurs in subtropical or tropical dry forest and in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. The species was once placed in Serinus, but later genetic work led to its transfer to Crithagra after that genus was shown to contain unrelated lineages.
