Przewalski's Finch is typically found in dense coniferous and mixed forests, as well as bamboo thickets, at elevations ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 meters. Despite its limited range and specific habitat requirements, the conservation status of Przewalski's Finch is currently categorized as Least Concern by the IUCN, due to its stable population and relatively large distribution area.
