Puerto Rican Amazon, Amazona vittata, is a parrot that breeds in Puerto Rico in North America. It is the only surviving native parrot on the island and the archipelago, and it is the sole extant parrot found only there. The bird is mainly green, with a red forehead and white eye-rings. It belongs to the Neotropical Amazona group, and its nearest relatives are the Cuban amazon and the Hispaniolan amazon. It was described by Boddaert in 1783.
