Purus Jacamar, Galbalcyrhynchus purusianus, is a jacamar of south-west Amazonia in South America, recorded from eastern Peru, western Brazil and northern Bolivia. It belongs to the family Galbulidae and was described by Goeldi in 1904. This bird is a monotypic species. It is found in humid forest, including terra firme and várzea, in both primary and secondary growth, and it favours edges beside waterways and oxbow lakes. Its breeding range lies in south-west Amazonia.
