Pygmy Hanging Parrot, Loriculus exilis, is a parrot of the Psittaculidae family that breeds in Sulawesi and Butung in Australasia. It was described by Schlegel in 1866. It is found in forest, mangrove and other wooded habitats on Sulawesi, and it is one of the smallest members of its genus. The bird is set apart by its orange bill, red throat and overall green plumage, with a red tail. It is sometimes mistaken for the great hanging parrot, but it is smaller and has a more red bill, a green forehead and a plain green mantle.
