Measuring around 10 centimeters in length, this species is known for its secretive behavior and melodious, high-pitched calls. Its plumage is predominantly olive-brown with subtle streaks, providing excellent camouflage amidst the forest floor vegetation. The Pygmy Wren-Babbler forages for insects and small invertebrates in the leaf litter and fallen branches, utilizing its slender bill to probe for prey.
