Red-billed Leiothrix, Leiothrix lutea, is a passerine of the Leiothrichidae that breeds across the Oriental Region from the Himalayas to eastern China and north-east Vietnam. It is native to southern China and the Himalayas. Adults are marked by a bright red bill and a pale ring around the eye, with a dull olive-green back and a vivid yellow-orange throat and yellow chin. Females are less striking than males, and young birds have black bills. It is also known in aviculture under several misleading names, including Pekin robin and Japanese nightingale.
