Red-billed Pied Tanager, Lamprospiza melanoleuca, is a bird of Amazonia in South America, where it breeds in humid forest from eastern and south-eastern Peru and northern Bolivia through central Brazil and into the Guianas. It is the only species in its genus and belongs to Mitrospingidae. The bird has a red bill, which gives it its name. Males, females and juveniles differ in plumage, with the female showing grey on the nape, back and rump, and the juvenile having a black bill and head. It was first described by Vieillot in 1817.
