Red-billed Scythebill, Campylorhamphus trochilirostris, is a bird of Middle and South America, ranging from Panama to northern Argentina. It belongs to the Furnariidae, the ovenbird family. It is a slim woodcreeper with a very long, strongly downcurved bill, and the bill is red. It occurs in a broad spread of wooded habitats, including open and semi-open country, gallery forest, cerrado, caatinga, secondary growth, and some scrub. In the Amazon Basin it uses seasonally flooded forest and riverside canebrakes. It is found mostly below 1,200 m, but reaches 1,900 m in Ecuador and 2,100 m in Venezuela.
