Red-eared Fruit Dove, Ptilinopus fischeri, is a bird of Sulawesi in Indonesia, where it is confined to the island. It lives in moist montane forest in the subtropical or tropical zone, at heights of 1,000–3,000 m. Three subspecies are recognised, and they are separated by the colouring of the upperparts. The northern form has green wing coverts, back, rump and tail. The central and southeastern form has a brown back with green wing coverts, rump and tail. The southwestern form has a brown back and wing coverts, with a green rump and tail.
