Urocolius indicus

The Red-faced Mousebird (Urocolius indicus) is a small, arboreal bird found in the woodlands and savannas of sub-Saharan Africa. It is known for its distinctive red face and long tail. These social birds are often seen in small flocks, feeding on fruits, seeds, and insects. They are adept climbers and can often be found perched in trees or shrubs. The Red-faced Mousebird is known for its soft, musical calls and acrobatic flight patterns. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential threats to their populations.
