Agapornis pullarius (Linnaeus, 1758)

Red-headed Lovebird, Agapornis pullarius, is a parrot of western and central Africa, where it occurs in a patchy way across tropical rainforest. It is a member of the lovebird group and was first described by Linnaeus in 1758. The bird is mostly green, with a sharply marked red head in the male and an orange head in the female. The male also has a red bill, while the female’s is paler. Grey feet and a lighter green underside to the wings are also noted.
