Red-lored Whistler, Pachycephala rufogularis, is a passerine of south-eastern Australia, with a patchy breeding range in south-eastern South Australia, north-western Victoria and western-central New South Wales. It is a bird of mallee woodland and related shrublands, and its most useful field mark is the red colouring that reaches up over the lores and face as well as the throat. The male has an orange-buff face and throat, while the female is paler below. It was described by Gould in 1841 and belongs to the Pachycephalidae.
