Red Lory, Eos bornea, is a parrot of the family Psittaculidae that breeds in the Moluccas in Australasia. It is found in the south Maluku Islands and the Kai Islands, with Buru red lory occurring on Buru in the central Maluku Islands. Its natural home is tropical moist lowland forest and tropical mangrove forest. The bird is mainly red, with red, blue and black on the back and wings, a reddish-brown tail with blue under-tail coverts, an orange bill and grey legs. The sexes look the same, while young birds are duller.
