Red-tailed Newtonia, Newtonia fanovanae, is a bird of Madagascar in the family Vangidae. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and is found only on that island. Its red tail is the feature that gives the bird its English name. Described by Gyldenstolpe in 1933, it belongs to the passerine order. Its breeding range is in Africa, specifically Madagascar.
